About This Wine

Fête Belê

Red Wine Blend

This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.

Winemaking Winemakers craft this 50:50 blend of Cinsault and Grenache Noir to capture the essence of Piekenierskloof’s fynbos-covered slopes. Grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness to preserve vibrant red fruit and floral aromatics, then gently fermented to highlight freshness and finesse. A portion of the wine matures in oak, layering in subtle spice and a savory thread of dried herbs. The result is a textured, expressive wine that balances elegance with a deep sense of place.

Vintage The 2024 vintage in Piekenierskloof was marked by a long, temperate growing season, allowing for slow, even ripening of both Cinsault and Grenache Noir. A cooler-than-average spring delayed budbreak slightly, but consistent sunshine through summer ensured optimal fruit development. Harvest began in early March under clear skies, with grapes showing excellent balance between sugar and acidity. The resulting wine captures the clarity and vibrancy that define this exceptional South African vintage.

Pairing Logic This expressive red blend shines alongside dishes that echo its herbal and spice-driven character. Think grilled lamb with rosemary, roasted root vegetables, or mushroom risotto seasoned with thyme and a touch of clove. The wine’s bright cherry fruit, floral lift, and savory finish make it a natural partner for Mediterranean fare and richly seasoned vegetarian plates alike.

Wine Region

Coastal Region

Covering most of the Western Cape, the Coastal Region is the beating heart of South Africa's wine industry. Cooled by the Atlantic Ocean to the west, and sheltered by mountains to the south and east, the region enjoys perfect conditions for grapevines to thrive. This is where you will find the world-famous sub-regions of Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl. Wines labeled as Coastal Region are likely to be made from grapes sourced from a few different sub-zones, taking advantage of a wide range of mesoclimates and soil types. Look out for South Africa's flagship grapes: rounded Chenin Blanc, bold, figgy Pinotage and international grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Shiraz too.
