About This Wine

Muscat - Torrontés

This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.

Winemaking Muscat and Torrontés are exciting blend partners. Both grapes are naturally aromatic with vivid fruit flavors, creating complex wines that evolve from the first sip to the final. Skin contact is key to unlocking this potential. After pressing, the juice mingles with its grape skins for 10 hours in cool conditions. Low temperatures are maintained throughout fermentation for maximum aromatic freshness before oak adds a touch of toasty character before bottling.

Vintage Mendoza’s 2022 vintage shaped fresh and fragrant wines. This eventful growing season began with cool temperatures. As spring began to bloom, winter refused to loosen her chilly grip, hitting vineyards with five unexpected frosts between October and November. This reduced yields by roughly 10 percent region wide. Warmth followed, allowing grapes to ripen slowly, boosting fruit flavors and protecting aromatics. Rain’s arrival marked the end of the growing season, as harvest took place by hand before bigger storms arrived.

Pairing Logic Due to this blend’s aromatic and flavorful nature, it offers a couple of pairing approaches. Let the wine steal the show next to light bites, including creamy cheeses that give its crisp acidity something to slice through, salty crackers that will accentuate its fruit flavors, or caramelized snacks to play into its oak influence. Or serve it alongside equally flavorful main dishes like creamy curries or tangy Asian-inspired entrées that won’t back down to their rich flavors.

Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
