This diverse region offers various microclimates that affect each vineyard’s unique growing conditions and ecosystem. Merlot thrives in this environment where it can showcase cool and warm-climate characteristics depending on location. Our 2020 vintage falls right in the middle of these two expressions with its full body, modest acidity, and plump fruit flavors. A skilled touch of oak-softened, sturdy tannins results in an enjoyable wine on its own or alongside roasted potatoes, grilled steak, or a hardy stew.
