About This Wine

Earth's Draw

Pinot Noir

The toil that goes into a well-made wine can be hidden by the fancy packaging. A beautiful wine bottle and label overshadow the work of the farmers and winemakers in the process. There’s no dust jacket on a bottle of wine to put the winemaker’s picture, and there’s nothing to show how hard it is to grow expressive grapes. The Earth’s Draw Pinot Noir is made to honor that work. The wine is elegant with subtle notes that showcase the terroir of California. We love the fruit flavors, but even more, we appreciate the subtle touches of sage, honey, and earth that finish off the wine. It’s a complex wine that we are thankful to get to taste. Judges love it too! It took home 91 Points and a Gold medal from the 2019 Monterey International Wine Competition, and a Silver medal at the 2019 West Coast Wine Competition and at the 2019 Hilton Head Island Wine and Food International Wine Competition!

Wine Region

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

  • A figure representing the Forest Floor tasting note. Forest Floor
  • A figure representing the Pomegranate tasting note. Pomegranate

There is a real earthiness to this wine that is a beautiful contrast to the red fruit flavors on the front of every sip. It's the subtle hints of sage, honey, and earth that really showcase the terroir of a good California Pinot Noir.
