About This Wine
Dita Akello
Fiano
Our Dita Akello Fiano is refreshing and bright, featuring charming aromas reminiscent of a fresh bouquet of spring flowers. The palate is sweet and crisp with ripe stone fruit flavors and food-friendly textures. This fruit-forward white grape is usually associated with the vineyards of southern Italy; however, in recent years, it can be found flourishing in the New World. In South Eastern Australia, cool coastal conditions provide the perfect balance of heat and oceanic influence to allow this variety to thrive. When planted in warmer sites, this white grape relies on its distinctive thick skins and resistance to drought, allowing it to prosper where other white grapes would struggle. Our 2021 vintage shines a light on this grape’s blossoming success south of the equator. To enjoy this wine at its best, serve it well chilled with fried food and creamy sauces.
