Building on the traditions established by their acclaimed Goldeneye and Migration wines, Decoy Pinot Noir from Duckhorn expands their exploration of the depth and diversity of this varietal to California winegrowing. Highlighting a distinctly plush and approachable expression of Pinot Noir, Decoy is crafted to be ready upon release, so open the bottle and enjoy now. We love Pinot Noir because it can be so many things. This iteration is decidedly a ripe new world offering with lush fruit and flowers playing off one another. The structure that is imparted on the thin-skinned grape can be helpful too. Pair it with red meats, roasted wild game, and more.

Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
