The 2023 Curioture Cabernet Sauvignon is an exceptional wine born from the fusion of Monterey County's unique terroir and the skilled artisanship of a mindful winemaker. Crafted with care, this Cabernet Sauvignon showcases intense and ripe plum flavors, complemented by luxurious notes of caramel derived from aging in bourbon-soaked American oak barrels. This unconventional finishing process results in a dense, concentrated, and sweet caramel essence that seamlessly blends with the wine's inherent fruitiness. Each wine in the Curioture collection is an invitation to explore the world's vineyards, unveiling the knowledge and passion embedded in every bottle. Curioture 2023 Cabernet Sauvignon Monterey County, California

Wine Region

Monterey County

Not to be confused with Monterey AVA, Monterey County is a larger designation that also includes the Carmel and San Antonio valleys, among others. Encompassing three distinct zones at the northern end of the Central Coast, Monterey County produces vast amounts of high-quality Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris. For reds, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have often been replaced by Pinot Noir, Syrah and Grenache in recent years. These cooler-climate grapes achieve greatness through the influence of Monterey Bay, which pushes cold fogs and chilly afternoon winds down the Salinas Valley, tempering the sun's heat and allowing a long, moderate ripening season.
