About This Wine

Curioture

Cabernet – Merlot – Petite Sirah

Curioture invites us into the mind of the winemaker with this complex Bordeaux-style blend. Each varietal displays distinctive characteristics, contributing to a dense flavor profile with dark fruit flavors, noteworthy textures, and prominent oak influence. In the arid climate of Rattlesnake Hills, Washington, a mountainous landscape provides vines with reliable access to sunlight while protected from cooling winds and damaging frost. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petite Sirah ripen well into autumn as they develop concentrated flavors. After carefully considering flavor profile and structure, the winemaking team blended them together with 50 percent Cabernet Sauvignon and 44 percent Merlot; Petite Sirah rounded out the balance of this blend. Extensive oak aging shaped the nuance and finesse of the final wine. The intention and artistry behind each sip make this bottle deserving of a special occasion or memorable meal. Wine Region

Rattlesnake Hills

A small sub-region in the north of Yakima Valley, Rattlesnake Hills is a relatively new AVA. It has gained recognition for its finely balanced Riesling and Chardonnay and its structured Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The key is its hilly topography, with vineyards sitting at average elevations of 850 feet. The vines here enjoy better sun exposure and improved airflow than those in the valley below, helping the grapes stay healthy through the long growing season. With broad day and night temperature variations, wines from Rattlesnake Hills are increasingly in demand for their elegance.

  • A figure representing the Chocolate tasting note. Chocolate

A mature nose offers potent aromas of cigar box, whiskey, leather, and cocoa. Cabernet Sauvignon provides this blend a tannic structure that supports Merlot’s plushness. Ripe blackcurrants give way to balsamic reduction flavors, while Petite Sirah emphasizes a lingering, fruity finish.
