About This Wine

Corsage

Chardonnay

The Corsage is a hit with judges! It took home 94 Points and a Platinum medal from the 2018 Critics Challenge International Wine Competition! California wines are some of the most exciting in the world. Why? Because we still have so much to learn. Some of the best winemakers in the world are moving to the best growing regions in the Golden State because there is so much challenge. The best vineyards in France and Spain have been farmed for at least a thousand years and there isn’t much mystery left on what will grow best in a certain vineyard. The Corsage Chardonnay comes from the Paso Robles area which is still being discovered. Winemakers are trying all kinds of things and for the Corsage, they have succeeded in making a wine that really showcases the flavors of California.

Wine Region

Paso Robles

California's fastest-growing wine region is quickly gaining an international reputation for its innovative and boundary-breaking wines. Located halfway between LA and San Francisco, the Paso Robles AVA in San Luis Obispo County has two main zones. The eastern side has a hot and sunny climate with deep, rich soils producing plush, fruity wines with sweet ripe flavors. To the west, the cooling influence of the Pacific brings a zingy backbone to rich Zinfandel and Rhône favorites like Syrah and Viognier. Italian varietals like Sangiovese and Nebbiolo are also favorites of Paso Robles grape growers and wine drinkers.

Tasting Notes

  • A figure representing the Pineapple tasting note. Pineapple
  • A figure representing the Lemon tasting note. Lemon

This medium-bodied Chardonnay is brimming with tropical fruit flavors, ripe gala apple, guava, and toasty bread notes with a nice zippy acidity. To some people, acidity tastes like citrus, if you mouth puckers slightly you might be drinking a wine with a moderate amount of acidity.
