The western boundaries of the vineyards in Paso Robles, California brush up against the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Coastal influence dramatically affects the way that grapes grow, and as a result, wines made by the water can have unique characteristics. The Chardonnay grapes that are used for the Cool Brand Chardonnay enjoyed warm days and cool nights thanks to the Pacific breeze. Notes of apple shine through the tropical fruit to round out this refreshing white wine. Our experts think that it is perfect for pairing with roast chicken and risotto. Judges love Cool Brand too! It was awarded 91 Points and a Gold medal at the 2018 Critics Challenge International Wine and Spirits Competition, and it took home 90 points and a gold medal at the 2018 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge!

Paso Robles

California's fastest-growing wine region is quickly gaining an international reputation for its innovative and boundary-breaking wines. Located halfway between LA and San Francisco, the Paso Robles AVA in San Luis Obispo County has two main zones. The eastern side has a hot and sunny climate with deep, rich soils producing plush, fruity wines with sweet ripe flavors. To the west, the cooling influence of the Pacific brings a zingy backbone to rich Zinfandel and Rhône favorites like Syrah and Viognier. Italian varietals like Sangiovese and Nebbiolo are also favorites of Paso Robles grape growers and wine drinkers.
