The Wagner family has a distinct winemaking style that people worldwide love, and any wine that runs through Caymus will have a bit of the house touch. The Conundrum Red is no exception and is a testament to the house style that the Wagner family has developed. Made by Charlie Wagner, the Conundrum Red is sourced from some of California's premier wine-growing regions. A rich, complex, but still approachable blend, every variety adds to the flavor. Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Sauvignon bring their dark flavors and structure to this drinkable red. Red fruit flavors with lush tannins and a silky mouthfeel make this a great wine to pair with dinner.

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
