About This Wine

Che Boludo

Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Cab just won a Double Gold Medal and 95 points from the inaugural Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge!
Much like the imposing Mount Aconcagua, this Cabernet Sauvignon from our “Best of Class” winemakers at Che Boludo is majestic and powerful. This wine’s call echoes through the towering peaks of the Andes Mountain range, beckoning serious Cab lovers to indulge. One taste is all it takes to find yourself atop a jagged peak surrounded by savory flavors and spice as you admire the vast Argentinian landscape below. This wine is born from vines that spend their lives at elevations that rise upwards of 2,600 to 3,900 feet above sea level. Here the sun’s rays are intense and unforgiving. This extreme exposure causes tannins in the grape’s skins to multiply to protect the fruit from sunburn. This translates to a formidable structure in the wine alongside rich fruit flavors. Relief comes in the form of cooling winds from nearby mountains, which preserves acidity. We believe that often the most difficult struggles create the most beautiful outcomes and invite you to pour yourself a glass and discover why. Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
