About This Wine
Chanmé Méchant
Grenache
Bordered by the beautiful Mediterranean Sea, Pays d’Oc is nestled into the southern coast of France. The region is exposed to a continental climate with dry, hot days during the growing season and winds that blow in from the northwest. These winds are incredibly beneficial to fruit that basks in the sunshine – cooler breezes give grapes a chance to develop natural acidity and blow away rot and disease that plagues many other winegrowing regions of France. Bold and big varietals like Grenache that require little babysitting thrive in the environment, and this is a beautiful expression of the famous French wine. Typically a late-ripening varietal, bright red fruit flavors shine when combined with the classic white pepper notes the wine is famous for. Balanced acidity melds with firm tannins, lengthening each sip and making you reach for another glass. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
