About This Wine
Chanmé Méchant
Grenache
Roussillon has a strong independent identity as the lone county of Catalonia still in France. The Catalan spirit and pride are nowhere more apparent than in the vineyards. The region is famous for producing great wines, and it is this Catalan styling and great soil that makes it stand out from northern wines. The Chanmé Méchant Grenache is a classic coastal wine. It’s full-bodied with a decently high amount of alcohol. The fruit notes play off of the Mediterranean flowers and herbs. Fun fact: this mix of rosemary, juniper, lavender, and thyme is also called garrigue. Judges loved it at the 2018 Critics Challenge and sent it home with 90 Points and a Gold Medal.
