About This Wine

Ch. Philippe Jacques & Co.

Bordeaux Rosé

Light, yet serious, our Bordeaux Rosé comes to us from the same skillful winemakers who crafted our 94 point, Platinum Medal-winning Bordeaux Rouge. Ch. Philippe Jacques & Co. has captured the delicate craft of winemaking while working within one of the most famous wine regions in the world. This rosé is made in the classic dry French style with a nod to its region's terroir. Bordeaux sits on the western border of France, where warming effects from the Atlantic Ocean allow the growing season to extend well into October. This extended ripening window is essential for the region's famous, thick-skinned black grapes to develop their distinctive rich red and black fruit flavors. These flavors, partnered with refreshing acidity, are a welcome duo in a quality rosé wine such as this. With notes of citrus and fresh fruit, this wine makes excellence seem effortless. Wine Region

Bordeaux

Probably the world's most famous wine region, Bordeaux is a true powerhouse of French quality. While Bordeaux is home to some of the country's most expensive bottles, it is also possible to find great-value wines from small producers. Almost all red and white wines from Bordeaux are blends. Reds tend to be a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. But just as important as the blends are the quality of the region's terroir and unique winemaking techniques. The Bordeaux region is divided by the Gironde River into two main parts. Cabernet Sauvignon reigns supreme on the Left Bank, while Merlot dominates the Right Bank. White wines are usually a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.

Tasting Notes

  • A figure representing the Strawberry tasting note. Strawberry
  • A figure representing the Lemon tasting note. Lemon
  • A figure representing the Raspberry tasting note. Raspberry

Our rosé strikes an elegant balance. Lively acidity dances with fresh raspberry, lemon, and strawberry flavors. West stone and minerality adds a sense of seriousness. While this wine is a high quality example of experienced French winemaking, it pairs best with sunshine and smiles.
