About This Wine

Cassiday Blare

Syrah–Zinfandel–Cabernet Sauvignon

Our Cassiday Blare blend is a thrilling exposé of spice featuring fresh fruit flavors and oak. The rugged, sun-drenched terrain of California creates idealistic growing conditions for this dauntless trio of grapes. This blend is led by peppery Syrah and fruity Zinfandel with just a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. Together, these dynamic grape varieties create a formidable combination of texture and taste. This wine’s authoritative flavors leave a bold impression that will inspire you to channel a bit of George Cassiday, lead the revolution, and question the status quo. Robust tannins and mouthwatering acidity make this wine a fitting accomplice to a wide variety of dishes. Smuggle this bottle into your next gathering to share with family and friends, or enjoy a glass solo as you peruse the local paper for an update on current events. Pair this wine with your sense of adventure and spirit of rebellion. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

Savory characteristics and spice govern the flavor profile of this blend. Aromas of oak, maple bacon, and cedar invite you to your first sip. Next, a bit of fresh fig and cranberry flavors before white pepper brings the focus back to spice on the finish.
