About This Wine
Caligrafica
Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet Sauvignon is a tough grape when it’s first picked and pressed. It can be harsh and unpalatable, but winemakers long ago discovered the remedy: oak barrels. Aging the Cabernet in oak unites the fruit flavors with the vanilla and spice imparted by the wood. The oak adds a richness to a young wine, as well as depth and complexity. The Caligrafica is a result of this love story. It’s an elegant mixture, with blackcurrant fruit melding seamlessly into the oaky flavors from the barrel. This wine is romantic... a product and labor of love. And it took home 93 points and a Gold medal from the 2018 International Women's Wine Competition!

Tasting Notes
- Vanilla
- Plum
- Blackcurrant
French Oak aging imparts toasty, vanilla notes that lead to powerful black-tinged fruit of fig, plum, and black currants. Dark dusty chocolate aromas continue onto the smooth and rich palate. The chalky tannins and toasty oak notes combine to give this wine an elegant balance.
