About This Wine
Calera
Chardonnay
In 1975, vintner and pioneer Josh Jensen founded Calera (Spanish for "lime kiln") high in the Gavilan Mountains of California's majestic Central Coast. In the four decades since, Calera has helped establish the Central Coast as one of the New World's most exciting wine regions. Calera's Mt. Harlan Vineyards are located in the Gavilan Mountains 25 miles east of Monterey Bay. The site was chosen for its limestone soils and ideal climate. At an average elevation of 2,200 feet, it is among the highest and coolest vineyard sites in California. This 100% Chardonnay spent time in French oak and matured beautifully. It's a unique wine that showcases the region's terroir as much as it shows the hand of the winemaker.

Tasting Notes
- Guava
- Orange
- Peach
A cool-climate Chardonnay with alluring aromas of guava, Mandarin orange, fennel, and hints of cedar. On the palate, the wine’s lovely weight and lush texture is balanced by a bright natural acidity that adds purity and precision to the generous white peach and passionfruit flavors.
