About This Wine
Caduto dalle Nuvole
Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
Abruzzo is a hop, skip, and a jump from Rome in Central Italy. The region is made up of 2 distinctly different types of growing lands - hillsides with a moderate continental climate and flatter valleys near the Adriatic Sea that are subject to warmer Mediterranean coastal influences. The grapes for this Montepulciano are from the hillier areas where vineyards receive cooling influences from the nearby mountains. This influence creates a longer ripening season which allows fruit to develop beautifully concentrated flavors and aromas. Deep berry notes meld with dusty tannins and perfumey florals. This wine is perfect to pair with dishes that have depth.
