About This Wine

Butler & Thief

Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most beloved wines. It presents an array of flavors, which are great for drinking alongside rich and flavorful foods of all kinds. Our 2019 Butler & Thief Cabernet Sauvignon is no exception, and you will find it to be a versatile crowd-pleaser. It's a near-perfect representation of the fan-favorite wine and is sure to disappear quickly once opened. Cabernet is grown all over the globe, but California's climate is particularly well-suited for the varietal. The warm and sunny days provide fruit ample time to ripen fully, and cooler evening temperatures allow concentrated flavor notes to develop. This bottle has bright and lush fruit notes that complement ripe tannins, enhancing the overall structure of this vintage. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.

Wine Region

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
