About This Wine

Burelé

Cabernet Sauvignon

Introducing a fruity and oaky Cabernet Sauvignon from our new French brand—Burelé! In addition to rich, dark fruit flavors, this Cab offers earthy undertones, making it a complex yet approachable choice for your next gathering. This wine comes from the Pays d'Oc region in southern France, where abundant sunshine creates ideal conditions for growing luscious, ripe grapes. Pop the cork, grab some glasses and unwind by the fireplace or enjoy a meal with friends at your favorite spot. Its dark fruit flavors and earthy undertones complement grilled or smoked red meats, while its hearty tannins harmonize with cozy stews with big textures. Aged cheeses will bring out its bold, fruity flavors, and dishes featuring mushrooms or truffles will accentuate its earthiness. Burelé 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Pays d'Oc IGP, France

Wine Region

Pays d'Oc

If you've vacationed in the south of France, you've probably visited the Pays d'Oc region. Embracing the Mediterranean from Spain to Provence, this region is famed as much for its Grenache, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as its endless sunshine. Pays d'Oc covers non-AOC wines made across this large, sun-kissed region, known as France's "New World." Far from the regulations of the AOC system, pioneering winemakers headed here to experiment, crafting many now-famous wines that often state their grape variety on the label—not something that was common in France before then. IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) within France’s wine classification system focuses on controlling regional and geographical origin. The category is less restrictive than the AOC classification and gives winemakers more freedom with style and taste profile when creating wines.

  • A figure representing the Oak tasting note. Oak
  • A figure representing the Forest Floor tasting note. Forest Floor

Our Cabernet Sauvignon beautifully balances fruit, oak, and earthiness with blackberry, black cherry, and forest floor notes. It has woodsy, resin-like notes that add complexity to its medium-bodied palate, leading to a smooth finish.
