About This Wine

Burchell Outlook

Red Blend

The landscape of the Western Cape appellation of South Africa is covered in stunning valleys and mountains that jut out of the horizon in a dramatic yet beautiful way. The region is at the heart of the South African wine world and sees a climate with hot, arid days and chilly evenings thanks to the coastal influences of the nearby Atlantic Ocean. This shift in temperatures allows grapes to fully ripen under sunny, bright skies and develop natural acidity and concentrated flavors. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec, our 2019 Burchell Outlook Red Blend is bright and approachable. This wine has a dark, inky color and features dark fruit-forward notes. Sweet tannins grip the tastebuds and lengthen every sip; it's the perfect accompaniment to a backyard BBQ with friends and will be gone quickly once opened! Wine Region

Western Cape

The majority of South Africa's best wines are produced in the southwest coastal zones around Cape Town, known collectively as the Western Cape. Sandwiched between the country's majestic mountains and its cooling ocean coasts (the Atlantic to the west of the Cape of Good Hope, the Indian Ocean to its east), the Western Cape offers a wealth of winemaking riches. Regions here include the Breede River Valley, Cape South Coast, Coastal Region, Klein Karoo and Olifants River.

  • A figure representing the Black Cherry tasting note. Black Cherry

Inky, dark in color, fruit-forward, and approachable crowd-pleaser. Sweet, dark fruit flavors of red plum and black cherry meld with herbaceous rhubarb notes. Oak influences add a slight chocolaty flavor to the tannins, which grip the palate and make your mouth water for another glass.
