About This Wine

Bramble & Bower

Cabernet Sauvignon

This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.

Winemaking: Our winemakers directed this Cabernet Sauvignon toward a more earth-driven, savory expression, emphasizing tertiary nuances over overt fruitiness. To achieve this, grapes were destemmed and gently crushed before undergoing a warm fermentation to extract generous color and structure. We utilized extended maceration to allow for fine tannin development and seamless integration before pressing. The restrained use of oak introduces notes of dusty dark cocoa and dried tobacco leaf, ensuring the complexity is nuanced and the beautiful aroma of dry cedar remains at the forefront.

Vintage: The 2024 vintage in Sonoma County was shaped by a patchwork of benchland and valley-floor sites where moderate daytime warmth met cool evening breezes from the Pacific Ocean. These conditions created a steady growing season, allowing for slow, even ripening. The gravelly loam soils limited vine vigor and concentrated flavors within the berries. Harvest took place at optimal phenolic maturity, resulting in a vintage marked by intensity, purity, and supple tannins—capturing the perfect balance between California warmth and coastal restraint.

Pairing Logic: This serious and structured wine is a dedicated food wine, designed for sharing alongside rich cuisines. Its umami fruit profile and savory herbal thread make it a natural partner for dishes with earthy depth, such as herb-crusted rack of lamb, wild mushroom risotto with truffle oil and aged cheddar.

Wine Region

Sonoma County

Sonoma County

Many of California's world-class wines come from Sonoma County, separated from Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. Three times the size of Napa, Sonoma is an incredibly diverse region. Cool coastal zones, fog-cloaked hillsides, sheltered valleys and craggy exposed peaks give Sonoma a vast array of terroirs and microclimates. Its many sub-regions produce a broad range of styles: from the bold Cabernets of Alexander Valley to the fragrant Pinots of Sonoma Coast and the sublime Chardonnays of Chalk Hill.
