Phantom Red

Bogle is a name that most Californians know for producing quality wines at an affordable price. This offering is no exception and is a delicious red blend that showcases the flavors of California. Phantom, the mysterious apparition of ripe berry and relentless spice, returns to haunt wine lovers. Full of concentration and intensity, this wine will tease, tantalize, and linger long after the last sip is gone. This vintage of Bogle Phantom is a blend of 44% Petite Sirah, 44% Zinfandel, 10% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon from California. The wine spent almost two years in American oak.

Wine Region

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

  • A figure representing the Cherry tasting note. Cherry

Aromas of baked cherry cobbler and ripe cranberries are front and center but framed with nutmeg and allspice delivered from aging 2 years in oak. All wrapped with peppercorn, anise, and juniper berries, which are abundant flavors found in the Petite Sirah and Zinfandel varieties.
