About This Wine

Bodewell

Pinot Noir

Bodewell wines put a premium on place. It’s why they only source wine from interesting and unique appellations, and it’s why $1 from every bottle sold goes to the charity Wine to Water to support their global mission to provide access to clean water to communities in need. You can enjoy this refreshing and elegant Pinot Noir knowing that you are helping those in need. This Pinot Noir comes from the Willamette Valley in Oregon and pulls all of the flavor from the loamy, volcanic soils. It has layers of red fruit and fine-grained tannins that are balanced by a savory and earthy finish. We love being able to have wines like these that make a difference and are delicious at the same time. And it took home 91 Points and a Gold from the 2019 International Women's Wine Competition, Silver medals at the 2019 West Coast Wine Competition and the 2019 New World International Wine Competition! And Wine Enthusiast Magazine, one of the premier wine publications on the planet recently sent it home with 87 points.

Wine Region

Willamette Valley

The Willamette Valley is understandably most often associated with Pinot Noir. The cool-climate region has a unique relationship to this most delicate (and temperamental!) red wine grape. Lying on the same latitude as Burgundy in France, the Willamette Valley enjoys the perfect balance of sunshine and rain, proximity to the Pacific Ocean and protection on either side by the Coast Range and the Cascade Mountains. Along its 100 miles, the Willamette Valley boasts many distinct terroirs, so among its many brightly fruity, elegantly structured and blissfully fragrant Pinots, you'll also find exceptional Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Riesling.
