About This Wine
Au O.K.D
Chardonnay
This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking Winemakers harvest grapes in the cool early morning hours to lock in bright acidity and delicate aromatics. Fermentation takes place primarily in stainless steel tanks, preserving the purity and freshness of the fruit. A portion of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, with gentle lees stirring to build a soft, creamy texture. The result is a Chardonnay that balances ripe orchard fruit and floral lift with a crisp citrus finish and mineral edge.
Vintage The 2024 vintage in Napa Valley's Oak Knoll District was marked by a temperate growing season, with cool marine influences extending the ripening window. Harvested in the early morning hours of late summer, the fruit retained the bright acidity and floral nuance that defined the year. In response to 2024’s fresh character, stainless steel fermentation was prioritized to preserve clarity and precision. The vintage’s natural balance allowed for measured lees contact and partial malolactic fermentation, enhancing texture without compromising the wine’s inherent energy.
Pairing Logic With its vibrant citrus lift and creamy undertones, this Chardonnay shines alongside dishes that balance richness and freshness. Pair with grilled halibut, lemon-herb chicken, or creamy risottos to mirror the wine’s bright acidity and subtle vanilla depth. Vegetarian pairings like roasted cauliflower or white peach and burrata salad will echo its orchard fruit and floral elegance.
