Chenin Blanc

Aromatherapy is all about excellent Chenin Blanc, the first vintage was a smash hit winning 91 points and a Gold medal at industry competitions. The newest 2018 release lives up to the hype of the first wine. It also happens to come from a great Chenin Blanc region: Clarksburg, California. With rich soils, ample water, and warm days the grapes grow vigorously, but a cooling wind from the Pacific keeps them from becoming overripe. The resulting wine is magnetic with beautiful notes of fresh pear and apple balanced by medium acidity and a creamy mouthfeel. Judges love this wine too and sent it home with a Silver medal at the 2019 San Diego International Wine & Spirits Challenge and the 2019 International Women's Wine Competition!

Clarksburg

Lying south of Sacramento in the California Delta, Clarksburg is a small but productive AVA where quality Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc grow in abundance. The San Francisco Bay has a strong influence here, bringing in fog and cool breezes that temper the valley heat. With its flat, mineral-rich clay soils, vines thrive in Clarksburg, needing little attention to produce plenty of quality grapes. Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Albariño and the red variety Petite Sirah also produce great wines here.

This beautiful Chenin Blanc benefits from the cool nights that come from the San Francisco Bay and the resulting wine has a balanced acidity and creamy mouthfeel. Slightly honeyed with notes of pear and apples, we love this wine on its own, but it can just as easily accompany a meal.
