Chenin Blanc

The Aromatherapy Chenin Blanc comes from one of the best growing regions in the entire country: Clarksburg, California. With rich soils, ample water, and warm days the grapes grow vigorously, but a cooling wind from the Pacific keeps them from becoming overripe. The resulting wine is magnetic. It opens up to reveal a beautiful bouquet of flowers reminiscent of the California countryside. Our experts think it is a great complement to almost any meal but is particularly good with bold flavors. Try it alongside anything with a ginger, tuna steaks, or roasted chicken. Judges love the bouquet too! It took home 91 Points and a Gold from the 2018 Critics Challenge, and a Gold at the 2018 New York International Wine Competition!

California

California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
