About This Wine

Añelo

Malbec – Merlot

Añelo, meaning yearn, is an excellent name for our Malbec and Merlot blend. This plush and fruit-forward wine will satisfy any craving and leave you eager for exploration. Our blend's balance of rich flavor and freshness results from skillful winemaking and the ideal growing conditions found in its high-altitude home. Mendoza, Argentina, has some of the world's highest vineyards—this region sees warm days with powerful sunshine and cool nights filled with crisp mountain air. These factors offer a true paradise for Malbec and Merlot, which use the intense sunlight to soften tannins and develop ripe fruit flavors, and brisk evenings to preserve acidity. Together, these varieties team up to form a blend worthy of your next adventure. Serve it with good company alongside smoked meats or savory pasta sauces. Wine Region

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
