Winemaking After hand harvesting and sorting the grapes, fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at warm temperatures to enhance the wine’s color and tannin. It is then aged in a combination of French and American oak to add complexity and soften textures, creating an impressive, age-worthy Zinfandel well-suited to your finest occasions.

Vintage The 2020 growing season treated Rutherford to fantastic weather. After a dry winter, spring brought warm temperatures, kick-starting an early bud break. The following summer allowed for slow and steady ripening, uninterrupted by wet weather. These Zinfandel vines range from 30 to 50 years old and are dry-farmed using organic vineyard practices. This harmonious combination of mindful viticulture and pristine weather results in pure and concentrated varietal flavors with lusciously smooth textures.

Pairing Logic This Zinfandel is the perfect companion to a special meal as you take your time to savor and enjoy. Dishes with big flavors and textures will match its smooth yet bold structure. Grilled, marbled red meats with savory rubs and generous salt will accentuate the wine’s body and fruit flavors. Vegetarian dishes with sturdy starches, like lentils or hearty root vegetables, will do the same.
