About This Wine

Alazules

Tempranillo

Our Alazules Tempranillo offers captivating aromas of refreshing herbs, which introduce layers of rich fruit flavor. Among the excitement Spain evokes with its piercing blue waters and ornate architecture, this dynamic region also boasts many native grape varieties. Among them, Tempranillo is responsible for many of the country’s famous blends. This grape emulates the spirit of its homeland through its vibrant flavors and textures. Tempranillo dominates vineyard plantings throughout the Iberian Peninsula and is well-suited to warm temperatures and scarce rainfall. Our Spanish winemaking partners chose stainless steel tanks for fermentation, amplifying this grape’s fruity characteristics before introducing the wine to oak for a touch texture and spice. This bottle is best enjoyed among friends and family, paired with Spanish classics as your imaginations are swept away to distant shores. Wine Region

Spain

While its reputation as a serious wine destination was eclipsed by France and Italy for many years, ignoring Spain today means missing out on some of the world's most exciting wines. Enjoying hundreds of miles of sun-kissed coastline and rocky interiors at higher elevations, Spain provides an ideal location for vineyards. Whether it is sparkling cavas from Catalonia, crisp Verdejos from Rueda, sublime Tempranillos from Ribera del Duero or inky Monastrells from Valencia, Spain has many wine styles to explore, all expressing the country's wildly unique terroir.

Tasting Notes

  • A figure representing the Cranberry tasting note. Cranberry
  • A figure representing the Plum tasting note. Plum
  • A figure representing the Fresh Herbs tasting note. Fresh Herbs

Fresh herbs introduce a savory aromatic profile joined by scents of crushed olive. The body is somewhat light, with soft acidity countered by a firm tannic grip. Fruit is abundant on the palate, and ripe raspberry, plum, and cranberry flavors lead the way to a dry finish.
