Alavez

This 2020 Verdejo from Alavez is every bit as thirst-quenching as a tall glass of lemon water on ice. This citrus-filled wine comes to us from the sun-soaked vineyards of Spain. Here, slow draining sand and clay soils helped these vines to stay refreshed during the long, hot growing season. These conditions allowed the naturally highly acidic Verdejo grapes to maintain their freshness and delicate floral aromas while developing juicy fruit flavors. These flavors were then conserved and emphasized by the winemaking team through the use of stainless-steel fermentation vessels and cold temperatures. The result is a light and lively “Latin lover” that makes a perfect partner to warm weather picnics and spontaneous weekend road trips.
