About This Wine
5th Note Cellars
Sauvignon Blanc
Our 5th Note Cellars Sauvignon Blanc strikes a beautiful melody of crisp acidity and luscious flavor. This wine offers delightful complexity while remaining lighthearted and energetic with a mix of exotic and stone fruit notes. Dunnigan Hills AVA falls within California's Central Valley, where the landscape is sculpted by gently rolling hills lined with scenic rows of grapevines. The success of this region is largely thanks to its Mediterranean climate, which provides warm days and a dry growing season that, when combined with the region's well-drained gravel soils, creates a harmonious duet that sets the stage for ample ripening. Grapes like Sauvignon Blanc are encouraged to stray from their characteristic grassiness and evolve richer fruit flavors while cooling breezes from the nearby Sacramento Delta ensure the fruit doesn't lose its acidity. These factors all fall into rhythm to create a terroir that produces delectably balanced wine, perfect for sipping solo or with accompaniment.
