The sun and the rain, the soil and the season all tell a story to the winemakers about how they need to take care of the vines. The Trailstone 2016 Chenin Blanc is a versatile and delicious white. Made from some of the finest grapes in California, it feels silky in the mouth with lush notes of lychee, honey, & pear. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
