Our fruity Pinot Grigio is a refreshing Italian getaway
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Tintoretto
Pinot Grigio
This 2020 Pinot Grigio is an exciting new release from our winemakers at Tintoretto. This delectably fruity wine is born from the same vines as our award-winning 2019 vintage, that took home the esteemed “Italy Pinot Grigio Winery of the Year” title. Situated on the shores of Italy’s largest lake, Lake Garda, these grapes lived a lush life basking in the warm Mediterranean sun. A cooling breeze from the water helped to moderate temperatures, which gave the fruit a welcome break from the heat and preserved the refreshing acidity we love and expect from Pinot Grigio. This ideal environment created flavorful grapes with ideal sugar levels; the perfect base material to craft a gorgeous wine. Our wine is elegant, bright, and fresh with delicious citrus notes. With each sip, you will dream of a picturesque Italian landscape dotted with cypress, olive, and lemon trees. Graceful and uncomplic ...

WINE REGION:
Garda DOC
Nowhere inspires romance quite like Italy's Lake Garda. Its eastern shores merge into the beautifully terraced hillsides of Verona, where vines meet cypress, olive, cherry, and citrus groves. Chardonnay is the most planted variety here, soaking in the warm Mediterranean sun and developing fine acids and aromatics in the cool Alpine air. Garganega (the grape of nearby Soave) also thrives, as does Riesling and northeast Italy's ubiquitous Pinot Grigio. Garda's famous light reds—Valpolicella and Bardolina—are made principally from the local Corvina grape. Other outstanding Garda wines include Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The DOC (Denominazione di Origine Controllata) designation for Italian wines was introduced in the 1960s. It is the main classification system used in the country and regulates what winemakers can and cannot do regarding wine style, varietal restrictions, minimum and maximum alcohol levels, aging techniques and growing regions.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Tintoretto
The Renaissance gave birth to a treasure trove of ideas and idols, two of which serve as the inspiration behind Tintoretto. The radiant, golden pig on our label symbolizes the daily luxuries awakened by the Renaissance. Pigs have been used for hunting truffles since the Romans, but it wasn't until Italian Renaissance writer Bartolomeo Plantina documented this practice that the idea came to life. For our name, we look to Venice-born painter Jacopo Tintoretto. Inspired by the Italian greats Michelangelo and Titian, Tintoretto used his bold colors and dramatic gestures to tell the story of Italy's past and present. Each bottle of Tintoretto strives to do the same. By using classic Italian varietals and blends, these wines share a taste of Italy's rich history, one of art, science, tradition and rebirth.
