Tintoretto
Veneto IGT, Italy
A stunning 96 point Italian Red Blend that is rustically elegant
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Tintoretto
Vino Rosso
Made in a rustic Old World style, this Vino Rosso is a classic blend of red Italian varietals. Fruit used for this wine was pulled from the best vineyards in Veneto, a region in the Northeast part of Italy. The 2019 growing season was near-perfect, allowing the fruit to develop beautiful structure and deep color concentration. The climate in the area is relatively mild, with warm, dry days mitigated by cooler evenings thanks to the breezes coming off nearby bodies of water and the Alps Mountains. The result of this environment is this subtle yet elegantly balanced wine that is a true reflection of Italy’s storied winemaking past. This blend is subtle, elegant, and balanced. Bold floral aromas jump out of the glass, complemented by a savory, herbaceous note. Sweet red fruit flavors hit the palate, as a balanced acidity adds weight and makes each sip linger. WINE REGION:
Veneto IGT
The Veneto (pronounced VEN-uh-toh) super-region in northeastern Italy is the engine room of Italian wine. The area sweeps inland of the Gulf of Venice from the Slovenian border west to Verona. It is a transitional region, sitting between the Alpine north and the drier central lands; Veneto enjoys a balmy Mediterranean climate that makes it a haven for vineyards. Veneto is famous for its prosecco and prosecco rosé, but also produces crisp, aromatic whites like Pinot Grigio and mouthwatering reds such as Sangiovese and Merlot. The IGT (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) classification system was created to provide more freedom and ease for winemaking within Italy. Wines under the IGT classification are regulated on the region of origin—where within the country grapes are grown—instead of varietals or wine styles as DOC and DOCG laws focus on.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Tintoretto
The Renaissance gave birth to a treasure trove of ideas and idols, two of which serve as the inspiration behind Tintoretto. The radiant, golden pig on our label symbolizes the daily luxuries awakened by the Renaissance. Pigs have been used for hunting truffles since the Romans, but it wasn't until Italian Renaissance writer Bartolomeo Plantina documented this practice that the idea came to life. For our name, we look to Venice-born painter Jacopo Tintoretto. Inspired by the Italian greats Michelangelo and Titian, Tintoretto used his bold colors and dramatic gestures to tell the story of Italy's past and present. Each bottle of Tintoretto strives to do the same. By using classic Italian varietals and blends, these wines share a taste of Italy's rich history, one of art, science, tradition and rebirth.
