Year after year, Tailored Republic continues to capture the California winemaking spirit with exceptional wines. The newest vintage of our 92 point Pinot Noir is every bit as delicious as its predecessors. This wine offers layers of both red and dark fruit entwined with oak influence and earthiness. Arroyo Seco is Spanish for “dry creek,” and this Central Coast region encompasses many microclimates and soil types. This helps to produce impeccably balanced wines with cool and warm climate characteristics. These conditions also mean that the winemakers must adapt to varied conditions and tackle each challenge with a passion for exploration. Arroyo Seco
Lying in the middle of the Salinas Valley, the under-appreciated Arroyo Seco AVA is a beacon of cool-climate winemaking in Monterey County. Its vineyards—especially those to the east—are buffeted for much of the day by cold Pacific winds and shrouded by fog. This combines to give Arroyo Seco an extremely long growing season. Soils throughout the AVA are stony, and these stones absorb sunlight to provide additional heat to the vines. While winemakers face a challenging growing environment, the effort is worth it, as the area produces superbly balanced Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling; intriguing Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon perform well in the western part of the AVA.

This wine features concentration and complexity. Aromas of sweet vanilla mix with earthy notes of forest floor and graphite. Elegant acidity and gentle sweetness are draped in a full body and coarse tannins, while plump flavors of strawberry, dark cherry, and bramble linger on the finish.
