As you fill your glass, be sure to pause and appreciate the opaque beauty of the streaming liquid's purple-black appearance. This darkness is an optical reflection of the wine's other sensory characteristics. With your first sip and each one after, your sense of smell and taste will be blanketed in notes of sweet, ripe, black fruit and enticing spice. Our opulent blend is composed of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Zinfandel. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
