ABOUT THIS WINE:
Still & Co.
Syrah
Each glass of our award-winning Syrah presents an impressive alliance forged between the Old World of wine and the New. With these New World grapes from Washington state's famed Columbia Valley, our winemaking team has crafted a powerful and focused Syrah reminiscent of the classic style found in France's northern Rhône valley. During this vintage, cool and sunny weather conditions allowed for slow ripening, meaning the grapes had plenty of time to develop their rich, concentrated flavors. The oak aging adds a more diverse palate of spice in addition to the pepperiness naturally presented by the Syrah grape variety. When it comes to pairing, this wine is surprisingly versatile. Because our wine makes a firm statement by itself, it can hold its own against more flavorful foods like sausage. On the other hand, if you want the wine to remain the primary focus, serve it with more subtle d ...

WINE REGION:
Columbia Valley
Sheltered by the rain shadow of the Cascade Mountains, Columbia Valley is home to the majority of Washington's vineyards. Cool nights keep zippy acidity in the grapes, while long daylight hours give the fruit plenty of chance to ripen. This results in full-bodied Merlot, elegant Cabernet Sauvignon and deeply concentrated Syrah. White wines are just as tantalizing, with toasty oak-touched Chardonnay and ripe stone fruit-flavored Riesling taking the spotlight. Sub-AVAs to look out for are Yakima Valley and Walla Walla. The Columbia Valley is one of the only appellations in the United States to occupy vineyards in two states, as it crosses the Oregon border in the southern part of the valley.
