Silverado Vineyards

Miller Ranch Sauvignon Blanc

Just south of Yountville nestled between the Napa River and Hopper Creek is the Miller Vineyard, which has been under vine since the 1870s. The soils are silty, cool, and deep, perfect for aromatic white wines. Open to the south, the vineyard enjoys the benefit of breezes and fog off the bay, which contributes to the wine’s green citrus, melon notes, and bright minerality.

Due to state registrations, we cannot ship this wine to AL, AZ, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SD, TX, VT, WA.

WINE REGION:

Outline of Yountville

Yountville

Situated in the heart of the Napa Valley, Yountville is a small but prestigious AVA known for juicy red wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. While you will also find some Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc here, the red wines are far more prolific. As the AVA sits exactly halfway between the southern slopes of Mount St. Helena and the northern shores of San Pablo Bay, it has an ideal mesoclimate that is perfect for growing Bordeaux grape varieties. The hot days and cool nights help fruit ripen slowly while retaining plenty of sparky acidity. The result is elegant red wines with concentrated fruit flavors and silky, food-friendly tannins.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Silverado Vineyards

In 1981, Ron and Diane Miller and her mother, Lillian Disney, established Silverado Vineyards to make wines from their estate's historic sites. For years, they had sold their fruit to neighboring wineries who were building global reputations for excellence. It was time, they decided, to create their own wines, their own expressions of the Napa Valley they loved and admired. The winery takes its name from the historic vineyard which surrounds it. The vineyard borrowed its name from the abandoned mining town at the top of the Napa Valley.
