A bold new release from steadfast stunner, Rancho Campo
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Rancho Campo
Bonarda
Rancho Campo continues to highlight the mountainous splendor of Mendoza with our 2021 Bonarda. This wine takes you off the beaten path with bold spice, savory characteristics and a formidable tannic structure. Bonarda is well known by locals for being exceptionally food-friendly. This grape is perfectly tailored to Argentina’s culinary culture, where it is often paired with a rotating array of seared meats. Globally it may be considered a lesser-known wine; however, after Malbec, Bonarda is the most widely planted grape variety in Argentina. While many red and white grapes battle the odds on the weather-beaten mountainsides of Mendoza, Bonarda takes its time, ripening slowly under intense sunlight throughout a long, dry growing season. We invite you to experience a local gem from the rural heartlands of Argentina with a wine that has defied the odds, proving that the hardest struggles ...

WINE REGION:
Mendoza
Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
