Since the first vineyards began popping up in the 1970s, the Marlborough region of New Zealand’s South Island has become renowned as a premier source of Sauvignon Blanc. It’s easy to see why. The stony, mineral-rich river flats are a winemaker’s dream, producing lush nutrient dense fruit with good minerality and a bright crispness. These Sauvignon Blancs our some of our favorites in the world and whenever we get the chance to order some for our members, we make sure to buy up as much as we can.

Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc—with its tropical fruit, gooseberry and herbaceous notes—is one of a kind. And it is all thanks to Marlborough's terroir: a large, gravelly river valley inland of Cloudy Bay at the northeast tip of the South Island, it enjoys long, warm, maritime-influenced summers.
