WINE REGION:
Santa Barbara
At the southern tip of California's Central Coast, Santa Barbara is a beacon of cool-climate winemaking, even among the many fine AVAs of the state. Santa Barbara wine country is defined by its long east-to-west valley, stretching deep inland from the coast between two mountain ranges. Cool Pacific Ocean winds funnel in across Santa Barbara's many distinct hillside terroirs, tempering the sun and creating an array of microclimates. All of this helps it produce world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Sauvignon Blanc.
