Thanks to an agreeable climate and thoughtful winemaking, this “wyn” brings together delicious characteristics from cool and warm-climate styles. Vineyards found on South Africa’s Western Cape have largely been converted from old apple orchards. The climate here is warm and sunny, which means grapes have no trouble tapping into a juicy assortment of tropical fruit flavors. Cool breezes from the Atlantic and Indian oceans mediate temperatures and help to conserve refreshing acidity. These grapes were harvested twice, each time at a varying stage of ripeness.
