ABOUT THIS WINE:

Old Quarter

Old Quarter

Torrontés

The new vintage of our 92 point Torrontés once again invites you to share in the rich history of Argentinian winemaking. This aromatic white offers aromas of exotic citrus and tropical fruit followed by a fruit-forward palate bursting with flavor. While Malbec is considered king in Argentina’s vineyards, Torrontés is its light-skinned counterpart as the country’s most planted white grape. This flavorful variety is native to Argentina, thriving in Mendoza’s famously high-altitude vineyards, where hot days and cool nights encourage the wine’s intense fruit flavors and crisp acidic texture to shine. Throughout history, wine has brought people together, uniting communities and creating a shared sense of pride in one’s history and culture. Torrontés is beloved by locals and tourists alike, who enjoy it alongside fried empanadas and grilled local cheeses, shared with friends old and new.

WINE REGION:

Outline of Mendoza

Mendoza

Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
