ABOUT THIS WINE:
Murmurations
Winemaker's Cuvee
A Cuvée is a beautiful thing. Originating in Champagne, the Cuvée is the first pressing of the best blend of grapes from that year’s harvest. In the Murmurations 2014 Winemaker’s Cuvée we see a member favorite winery return to the club with a show stopper. Blending grapes from the 2014 harvest they have created a decadent red wine from the pressing of the small but concentrated grapes from that year. These flavors coalesce into something more with smooth fruits playing off of spicy tannins for a dramatic finish.

WINE REGION:
California
California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.

TASTING NOTES:
Baking Spice
Oak
Blackberry
Spicy blackberry jam and tarragon aromatics fill the glass. A bright and juicy mouthfeel confirms the intense aromas. Medium in body and tannin, this wine will please anyone who drinks it. We especially love this wine with grilled meats. It holds up to strong flavors very well.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Murmurations
The philosophy behind Murmurations came from bird watching. When starlings are startled and fly together in the sky they are so densely packed that sometimes it seems as if they blot out the sun. As they weave around one another organic shapes are flashed in the sky, creating a vision that is greater than the sum of its parts. Like the birds, wine takes many individual grapes and makes something beautiful.
