Michael David Winery
Lodi, California
Taste a wine inspired by the original "super freak" Michael Phillips
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Michael David Winery
Freakshow Cabernet Sauvignon
Known for taking the road less traveled, Michael David Winery has always stood apart from the crowd. Whether it be their outlandish brands and packaging or their quirky personalities, Michael and David are definitely on a stage of their own, and this wine showcases just that. The fruit for this wine comes from the original “super freak” himself, Michael Phillips’ Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard located only a medicine balls toss away from the winery. Aged for 14 months, the wine is still fruit-forward but with a delicious oaky finish.
NOTE: This is NOT a Firstleaf Exclusive Wine.
Due to state registrations, we cannot ship this wine to AL, AZ, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SD, TX, VT, WA.ABOUT THIS WINE

Lodi
The jewel of the Central Valley, Lodi lies just east of the California Delta in an area of varied terroir. Winemakers here can extract different grape variety expressions from each plot of land. Zinfandel is common here, making deeply fruity and tantalizingly smoky wines, often from old vines. But the deep loamy soils and balmy Mediterranean climate, with its warm days and cool nights, help keep Lodi's grape varieties and winemaking styles impressively diverse. Alongside the ubiquitous Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Viognier also thrive. Lodi is a melting pot of different grape varieties and winemaking techniques, all of which make it a rewarding region to explore.
