This bottle features art from British painter and printmaker Charles Bartlett, a man who was enamored with the sea and spent his life exploring the many faces of the ocean. The artwork that adorns this bottle is Bartlett’s expression of the Pacific, and it is perfectly paired with our California Red Blend. The wine is a marriage of elegance and firm structure. We love the old oak, subtle fruits, and notes of rose and tobacco. Judges love it too! It took home a Silver medal the 2018 Sommelier Challenge.

Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
