Linguist Estates
Chardonnay
The Central Coast region of California includes nearly 100,000 acres of planted vineyard land. The appellation is long and thin, stretching down the middle of the vast state. The region contains multiple different climates, ranging from valleys protected by mountain ranges that are dry, hot, and humid to sloping hillsides that are cool and foggy from the coastal maritime influences of the Pacific Ocean. Chardonnay thrives in the Central Coast as it is adaptable to many different types of environments and takes on characteristics of each particular growing site’s terroir. This wine is a classic California Chardonnay. Stone fruit flavors are complemented by notes of citrus and a toasted nuttiness from oak influences. A creamy roundness coats the mouth and makes every sip linger. An excellent pair for buttery dishes hot from the oven, this is drinkable now or worthy of stashing for a spe ...

WINE REGION:
Central Coast
California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.

Few achieve master status, but Linguist Estates represents just that in every bottle. Our wines share the intricacies of California's climate and winemaking with a rhythmic elegance you will be delighted to experience.
