Le Temps des Récoltes
Bordeaux AOP, France
Another cellar-worthy vintage of our award-winning Bordeaux
ABOUT THIS WINE:

Le Temps des Récoltes
Bordeaux Rouge
This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking Merlot is responsible for 70 percent of this blend. It drives the soft profile, spice and full body, while Cabernet Sauvignon brings its signature tannic structure to the table. In order to capture the best of these varieties, we ferment them separately for three weeks before our winemakers skillfully test different proportions to unveil the perfect varietal balance. Before sealing the cork, oak adds a final layer of depth to this rumination-worthy, Right Bank-styled Bordeaux.

Vines woke early in the spring, which set the stage for a long growing season, amplifying rich, dark frui ...

WINE REGION:

Bordeaux AOP
Probably the world's most famous wine region, Bordeaux is a true powerhouse of French quality. While Bordeaux is home to some of the country's most expensive bottles, it is also possible to find great-value wines from small producers. Almost all red and white wines from Bordeaux are blends. Reds tend to be a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. But just as important as the blends are the quality of the region's terroir and unique winemaking techniques. The Bordeaux region is divided by the Gironde River into two main parts. Cabernet Sauvignon reigns supreme on the the Left Bank, while Merlot dominates the Right Bank. White wines are usually a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. The AOP (Appellation d'Origine Protégée) classification for French wine relates to wine being from a specific region that is significantly regulated. The regions are both large and small, each with its own set of rules for permitted varietals, production standards and quality control cues.

Blackberry
This Right Bank-styled blend showcases oak, clove and baking spice aromas. The palate is ripe and round with firm tannins providing structure to its full body. Blackberry and plum flavors are muted by savory characteristics, earth, and spice for a complex finish that lingers on the palate.
